Raised in a family of artists, I have always been
drawn to line & color from childhood.
My grandparents’ farm in New Hampshire, along
the Connecticut River Valley, allowed me to
cultivate my view and fascination with the
horizon line and its relationship between land,
water & sky.
That was my early geographic center, my
apparent horizon. Ever changing cloud
formations, weather patterns, wind & light,
continue to validate my need to study the
balance and tension within the horizon line.
Our world moves at an extreme pace. Our
individual memory defines our point of view.
My personal retreat to simple stark landscape,
comes via sense of place, color, light & memory.
